About a film editor, 1993 born and raised in Zürich, living in Berlin.

After trying to get into film school with 19 (didn’t work) and then studying English and Film Studies in Zürich, Chris went to the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg (this one worked). During his studies of film editing, his shortfilms, NAKAM (fiction, d: Andreas Kessler) and DAS ROTOHR (doc, d: Paul Drey), were both awarded with prices and qualified or shortlisted for the shortfilm Oscars in 2023. Since graduating, he has been working as a freelance film editor. His two feature-length documentaries YUMI - THE WHOLE WORLD (d: Felix Länge) and WOLKEN ÜBER LÜTZERATH (d: Lukas Reiter) both had their world premiere at the Max Ophüls Preis Festival in 2025. His next documentaries DRIVING EUROPE (d: Felix Länge) and KIRILL SEREBRENNIKOV – EVERY DAY IS AN EMPTY STAGE (d: Marcus Richardt) are currently between festivals and cinema releases in 2026 and 2027.
